If your Meta Ads clicks aren't showing up in ClickGuard, check four things, in this order: the credential still has access to the ad account, click detection is turned on, the tracking code is installed on your website, and your ad URLs include the campaign ID that ClickGuard needs.
If your Meta Ads clicks aren't showing up in ClickGuard, several things could be causing it. Below are the most common reasons, in the order to check them, and how to fix them.
Most of these settings are in Settings › Connections › Ad accounts. Click your Meta Ads account there to open its Ad account settings.
This is the most common cause. ClickGuard connects to Meta Ads through a credential: the Facebook user who connected the account. If that user was removed from the ad account or lost their permissions, or the login expired, ClickGuard can no longer read the account.
Solution:
While click detection is off for an ad account, ClickGuard doesn't analyze its clicks.
Solution:
Meta Ads doesn't use a tracking template. ClickGuard reads your Meta Ads clicks through the tracking code on your website, which picks up the parameters Meta Ads passes to your landing page.
Solution:
ClickGuard needs each campaign's ID in the URL, in one of these parameters: cgcid, cid, campaign_id or utm_campaign. Most ads already have it.
Solution:
cgcid={{campaign.id}}
cid={{campaign.id}}
campaign_id={{campaign.id}}
utm_campaign={{campaign.id}}Clicks showing up, but visitors aren't being blocked? See Exclusions not working.
